So you'd have like Prometheus S, Prometheus S-A, Prometheus S-B....Like I'm armed with Prometheus S....I get the upgrade and the mission does a unlock-weapon Prometheus S-A....The game sees "oh hey, the S-A supersedes the original and both are available....So let's throw it in even though the FREDder says default loadout is Prometheus S."

It`s just a .DLL file that you needed to play FS2....It`ll do what it`s supposed to without you having to ever see it again.
